I’ve worked at two newspapers, two print shops, and a publishing company to gain many years worth of real-world experience in presentation, design, marketing, camera-work, estimating, proofing, printing, and the millennia of other aspects required to produce good print material. I have the seasoned ability to help writers put their best foot forward.

You must own the rights to any material you wish to have scanned
My standard rates are for editing jobs (assumes double-spaced pages, font no smaller than 10pt) are reasonable, practicable, established via first review estimate.
For editing and formatting jobs requiring an unusual degree of time and effort (e.g., those containing many illustrations, special formatting, indices, etc.), additional hourly charges may apply. Therefore, in order to receive a firm bid on a formatting or editing job you will need to submit a sample chapter for review and analysis. There is no charge for this review and analysis.

Literary Artist Jill Annette Johnson provides service and products on jilljj.com. Her communications career began with positions as an advertising artist and writer, a marketing writer and estimator, camera and product setup specialist, as a full-time employee within offices of: Transcript Printing, Transcript Newspaper, St Cloud Daily Times, and Burgess Publishing. In addition, Ms. Johnson completed a bachelor of Science in Art Education with honors and included an emphasis on (the brand new concept of the 80s) Computer Graphics. She went on to teach all age groups at Schools in the Central Minnesota Area before forming her own web and design company, which she still maintains, at jilljj.com. Currently, Jill is studying for her Masters’s Degree in Writing and Art Therapy, although work is her priority number one.
Experience
Jill Annette Johnson has over 30 years of experience in writing, editing, art, and marketing, including full-time, part-time, and contractual work. She currently runs a freelance art and writing/editing business in Rice, Minnesota, where she journals about her passions, products, and work, on jilljj, local harvest, google, and other online blog arenas. In addition to the sales of her own products, major contracts have included managing editorial and web design SEO duties for; Rich Theisen Realty, BananaArt, J.M. Kiser, Central MN Model Railroad, media and communications support and various writing, editing or graphic arts projects involving ads, brochures, logos, campaigns, books, editing, proofing, copywriting, award-winning projects for multitudes of companies big and small throughout the 30 plus years, samples of which are available on jilljj.com
Education
Jill Annette Johnson studied Commercial Art and Writing for 2 years at SAVTI before going to work in the industry. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from St. Cloud State University. She minored in her other two passions: computers and writing. She also has one year of training in Psychology, Literature, and Writing, towards a Masters in Art Therapy.
Transferable skills
Jill started work in Commercial Art at a time when big changes were in the wind. She learned how to draw and write old-school, and can even burn sticks to get a literal point across. Everything she knows, she learned from scratch. Nowadays, that stick becomes; digital, virtual, lightweight, and often includes programs such as: Adobe, Macromedia, Windows, Microsoft (Jill knows most if not all of the programs quite well). She understands many other SEO, graphic art, video, writing, converting, authoring, and programming systems, quite well. If there is a specific program you are wondering if she has familiarity with, please do not hesitate to ask her. Jill loves to study, and really likes to know how to operate programs that make your life easier, literally.
